The MashaMoto Auction Network is owned and ran by MashaMoto UK Ltd. A Government registered UK Company complying with all UK and EU Laws

What type of vehicle(s) can I purchase from the MashaMoto Auction network?
The MashaMoto Auction Network covers sports cars, passenger cars, SUV's, people carriers, 4 wheel drive off road vehicles, buses, trucks,
multi purpose vehicles and commercial vehicles.

Are there left hand drive vehicles available?
Yes the import houses in Japan do have an Imports section (imported into Japan) however the auction end price is often substantially
higher than in countries which use left hand drive as standard. This is because in Japan left hand drive cars are seen as symbols of
wealth.

Can I speak with someone directly?
Yes we welcome enquiries via all communication methods. Please see the contact us page of our website by clicking here.

What currency are prices shown in?
initially all prices shown are in Japanese yen (¥), however there is a currency option at the top right of the search results page which
allows you to convert the currency to one you are more familiar with. Up to date exchange rates can be found here here. when selecting your currency please enter the current rate shown in the above link.

How Do i Bid?
Firstly you must become a member of our Auction Network. You can do this by filling out the online application form found here. Once you have joined and have a confirmed deposit you can bid online
using our Auction website. You can
also set up a telephone bidding account with your accounts manager.

I would like to bid on a car, how do I make a deposit?
In order for your bid to be accepted you need to pay a refundable deposit of £650 for vehicles with a market value less than £9,999 and a
£1,000 deposit for vehicles with a market value of £10,000 or more.The deposit needs to be made via bank transfer, direct deposit,
bankers draft or cheque into our bank account NEED LINK AND EMAIL ETC.

If I make a deposit then decide I no longer wish to use the MashaMoto Auction Network will you refund my deposit?. If so, how will it
be done?
Yes your deposit is fully refundable should you choose not to continue using our service. Refunds can be made via cheque, direct deposit
or via bank transfer (a fee of £25 is incurred when using bank transfer).

Is there a deadline for bidding?
Yes all bids must be placed before 9am (Japan time) on the day of auction (the time in Japan is always displayed at the top of each
auction page).

Is their a limit as to how many vehicles I can bid on?
You can bid on 1 vehicle per confirmed deposit. If you would like to bid on multiple vehicles, multiple deposits will be required unless
previously agreed terms have been arranged with MashaMoto Management.

Is there a minimum number of cars I have to purchase?
No, you are welcome to use the Mashamoto Auction Network as little or as much as you like.

I'm not sure what to bid, is there anyway of knowing approximately what price vehicles will sell for?
Yes, simply contact our Customer Service Department who will happily put together an estimate for you. The estimate will be generated by
taking the average sales price of similar vehicles sold recently through the MashaMoto Auction Network.

If Another MashaMoto customer bids on the same vehicle and we both bid over the sold price, who wins?
In this instance the customer who placed the bid first would win the vehicle.

Can you tell me at which particular auction house a vehicle is up for auction?
This information is provided to trade customers only.

What information should I put in the auction comments/bid notes section?
You can put any information you like, We will try to meet all reasonable expectations. We may attempt to contact you if we need
clarification of your comments/requirements. MashaMoto cannot be held responsible for mistakes made due to confusing or unclear
comments/bid notes.

Are all vehicles sold at auction?
No, around 40% of vehicles up for auction do not meet the seller's reserve. Auctions are held on a daily basis and it is quite common to
see a vehicle re-auctioned within the week.

Is there any way of knowing the reserve on a vehicle?
In short no, however a higher start price usually indicates a low or no reserve auction. Lower start prices usually indicate a reserve
has been set.

Can I view auction sheets for the vehicles at auction?
Yes, all vehicles up for auction through the MashaMoto Auction Network are provided with an auction sheet.

Can you translate the auction sheets for the vehicles?
Yes, all customers who have a confirmed deposit on there account receive an auction sheet translation service free of charge. Customers
who do not have a confirmed deposit are limited to one translation per day.

I just received an email confirming my bid(s), is there anything more I need to do?
No, you will be advised by email usually within 24 hours of the auction ending. If you were successful we will contact you about payment
and the shipping process. (Vehicles must be paid for within 7 days of purchase.) If you were unsuccessful we will notify you of reason.

Does my bid include shipping costs and export fees?
No, unless you state in the Bid notes/comments section that your bid is CIF it will be interpreted as a FOB bid.

How much is shipping?
Shipping varies depending on the size of vehicle and the designated port of delivery. Average shipping cost is approximately 100,000¥ per
vehicle, however, if you contact your accounts manager and advise them of the vehicle you plan to purchase they will give a more accurate
quotation.

How are shipping costs calculated?
Shipping costs are based on the size of the vehicle and calculated on a Metre cubed (m3) basis.

Can I use my own shipping company for vehicles purchased?
Yes, customers are welcome to use there own shipping companies or export agents.(Trade customer orientated).

How much are export fees and what do they cover?
Export fees are 100,000¥ per vehicle, this fee covers the following:
After purchase inspection of the vehicle to confirm the vehicle matches the condition details stated on the vehicle auction
sheet.
A Vehicle status check is also carried out to confirm the vehicle is not stolen or under a finance agreement.
De-registration is also included in this fee along with document fees, insurance for loss or damage when in transit, express trackable
shipment of documents and transportation of vehicle to Japanese dock of export. 
What is your service Fee for purchasing & exporting the vehicle(s)?
Our fee is £175 per vehicle. (Trade customers please contact your account manager as discounts apply depending on the volume of vehicles
purchased).

What documentation do I receive after purchasing?
Once full payment has been made you will receive the following documents: Bill of lading, Bill of lading Duplicate, Japanese
Export/Deregistration certificate, English translation of Export/Deregistration certificate, Insurance certificate Covering loss or
damage whilst in transit and Reciept of purchase.

How long will it take for my vehicles(s) to arrive?
This varies depending on port of delivery and shipping space available, please contact your Accounts Manager for an estimate on shipping time.

What happens when the car reaches my designated port?
You will be contacted by the agent for that port who will advise of any import duties or VAT which may be applicable.

Can you arrange delivery of the vehicle when it arrives in my country?
We can supply delivery of any vehicle delivered to the UK, the Netherlands or Belgium at additional cost. Please contact your account manager for quotation.

If I purchase a vehicle from the MashaMoto Auction Network can you supply the vehicle on the road?
We can supply an on the road type purchase for customers in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and the USA.(USA Customers please contact us
prior to making any bids as strict rules and regulations apply when importing a vehicle into the USA).

What happens if the car I purchase arrives and has damage not noted on the auction sheet?
Should your vehicle arrive and not match the condition of the auction sheet DO NOT sign for the vehicle and contact us immediately. We will then take the appropriate action and have the matter resolved for
you either via repair or refund.
